Yard Sale to Benefit BCR

October 21st, 2009

BCR is having a yard sale on October 24th!  Come to Make Your Move Performing Arts in Opelika to find some great deals.  All proceeds go to support the Burn City Rollers as we prepare to head into our off-season.  Next season we will be traveling a lot, including to Oklahoma City to skate on the track used in the film Whip It!

If you have anything you would like to donate, please contact Cho Cold at ChoCold32@gmail.com, and we will pick it up.

Directions to “Make Your Move Performing Arts” (116 Columbus Parkway – between 7th and 8th Ave.) from Auburn:

Go North on I-85.  Take exit 62 (Cracker Barrel Exit).

Take a left onto Columbus Parkway.  Go about 1 mile to the traffic light.

The building is the first one on the right after the traffic light.  It is a beige building with black shutters.  There will be signs!

BCR has their first home bout since June.  Only two more chances to see your beloved rollers battle this season.

On Oct. 10, BCR rematches against Hard Knox Roller Girls’ Brawlers, who narrowly defeated BCR in Knoxville August 1.  Hungry for redemption, will BCR redeem themselves by snatching a victory from HKRG?  Come and find out!

Doors open to the public at 5:00 p.m.  The action starts at 6:00 and contains two 30 minute periods with a 20 minute intermission.

Please bring a fold-up chair if you would like to sit in the regular section and a pillow or blanket if you would like to sit in the “Suicide Section” 10 feet from the track.  18 years and up only in the “Suicide Section.”
